Anita Sonafrank

Anita Marie Sonafrank, 48, Macy, Indiana, passed away at 4:12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. 

Born February 12, 1976, in Marion, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry Leroy Rice and Ann Loree (Chick) Rice Vaughn. 

She was married to Joe Sonafrank, Macy, with whom she had her two beloved children, Gregory Michael Sonafrank, Macy; and Hannah Lorie Sonafrank, Macy. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Anita graduated from Carroll High School in 1994 and had worked for the Post Office for twenty years, mainly in Rochester, Indiana. She was a dedicated member of the church where she loved to volunteer and teach Sunday School, always enjoying doing crafts with the kids. 

Anita loved walking the beach, looking at lighthouses and sunflowers, but nothing made her happier than spending time with her children. 

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening, January 17, 2025, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana. Pastor Trent Eikenberry will officiate. 

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
