Beverly K. Burns

Beverly K. Burns, 78, Twelve Mile, Indiana, passed away at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.

Born February 8, 1946, in Peru, Indiana, she was the daughter of Robert W. and Bernice E. (Lewis) Burns.

Beverly was an active member of Corinth Brethren Church, near Twelve Mile.   She enjoyed helping in the church kitchen and helped bake hundreds of pies and angel food cakes over the years for church dinners and bake sales.  She loved animals and over the years took care of many cats around her home, each having their own name.  She worked for The Peru Trust Company and retired from Wells Fargo.

Survivors include her brother, Robert Lee (Penny) Burns, Denver; nieces, Christine (Jamie) Centers, Peru; Angela (Rusty) Diechman, Logansport; and nephew, Ronald (Julia) Burns, Twelve Mile; as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, a great-nephew, beloved dog, Scottie, and cat, Muffie.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Pastor Cole Westwood officiating.  Private burial will be on Thursday at Westlawn Cemetery, Denver.

Visitation will be from 3-5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
