Bonnie Jean Mathis, 72, Metea, passed away at 10:43 P.M. on Friday, June 3, 2022, at her residence.

She was born on October 24, 1949 in Peru, Indiana the daughter of Jerry and Jean (Hockett) Biggs. On September 19, 1986 at the Foursquare Gospel Church in Peru, Indiana she marriage Guy Ronald Mathis. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2013.

Bonnie along with her husband owned and operated Guy’s Archery Shop and Hunter’s Den, both outside Peru. She had been a Ham Operator and an EMA Storm Watcher for many years. She had been a member of Apostolic Church of the Living Waters, accepting the Lord on April 28 of this year.

Survivors include her children, Anthony W. Mathis, Florida, Robin Michelle (Paul) Jeffs, Metea, Indiana, Rhonda Ousley, Peru, Indiana, Guy Ronald (Denise) Mathis Jr., Peru, Indiana, Regina (Darrin) Patton, Kentucky, Randi Jean York, Macy, Indiana, sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, brother, Jimmy Lee (Carol) Biggs, Peru, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeremiah Mathis, two grandchildren, Alex VanDaele and Richard James Wright, her parents, and brother, Jerry “Doc” Biggs.
