Brenda Kay "Ma'Am" Wolfe

Brenda Kay “Ma’am” Wolfe, 66, Peru, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023.

She was born on May 8, 1957, to Ruth Ellen Townsend-Sopher and Earl Edward Richardson. Brenda married Carl Stapleton in 1975. They later divorced but always remained friends and coparents to three children. On May 1, 1988, she married William Paul “Tim” Wolfe III, who had four children of his own, creating their own version of a “Brady Bunch.” He preceded her in death March 1, 2010.

Brenda was a long-time volunteer at Miami Indians, where she was a bead worker and bingo caller. Surviving are one son, Anthony Stapleton and companion, Jennifer Mosley, Peru; two daughters, Dawn (Jesse) Sons, Peru, and Cynthia (James) Elliott, Peru; four stepsons, William Paul Wolfe IV (Christine) Cambridge City, Jeffrey Wolfe, Lawrenceburg, Noah (Trinda) Wolfe, Weston., MO, and Joseph Wolfe, Delphi; 19 grandchildren, Emylee Stapleton, Mercedes Dancy, Rihanna Dancy, Brooklyn Dancy, Hunter Dance, Nicholas Stapleton, Dalton Church, Cheyenne Sons, Nevaeh Elliott, Angieleanna Elliott, Anne Marie Wolfe. Tommy Wolfe, Jordan Wolfe, Hailey Wolfe, Timothy Quinn Wolfe, Lorelei Wolfe, Hannah Mueller, Mackenzie Wolfe, and Hannah Wolfe; three great-grandchildren, Frojya Williamson, Amelia Burton, and Lokie Stone, three sisters, Vicky (Steve) McCoy, Peru, Mary Autun, Kokomo, and Tina Callirgos and companion, Dancy Jamie, Peru, and one brother, Robert (Michelle) Newby, Macy, one brother-in-law, Mike (Diane) Wolfe, Macy, three sisters-in-law, Gina Wolfe Lopez, Julie (Carl) White, and Amanda Redman, all of Peru.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, a sister, Sandra Sue, a brother, Mark Allen, a grandson, Jenies Anthony, mother-in-law, Barbara Wolfe, and father-in-law William Paul Wolfe, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, December 16, at Elks Lodge, 122 N. Broadway, Peru.
