Carol Lee (Rimpler) Arthur

Carol Lee (Rimpler) Arthur, 86, Twelve Mile, passed away on Saturday morning, December 10, 2022, at IU Arnett Hospital, Lafayette.

Born November 21, 1936, in Twelve Mile, Indiana, she was the daughter of Robert G. and Monelle E. (Brower) Rimpler.  On March 15, 1958, at Skinner Chapel, near Twelve Mile, she was married to Richard Edward “Dick” Arthur, and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2014.

She was a 1955 graduate of Twelve Mile High School and attended Fulton Baptist Temple, Fulton, Indiana, for many years.  She retired from the United States Postal Service having worked in Deedsville, Fulton, Twelve Mile, and Lucerne.  She enjoyed reading, crafting, sewing, and quilting.

She is survived by three children, Martin R. (Kathleen) Arthur, Twelve Mile; Michael A. (Jayme) Arthur, Peru; and Douglas L. Arthur, Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Lesley A. (Justin) Stout, Winamac; Bethany M. (John) Letson, Winamac; Kelly L. (Christopher) Lally, Indianapolis; Rachel J. (Travis) Sprong, Amboy; and Bret R. (Elizabeth) Arthur, Ft. Wayne; and several great-grandchildren with more expected in the next few months.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one grandson, Luke Arthur; and one sister, Barbara Richter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2022,  at McClain Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Russell and Pastor Jeremy Losier officiating.  Burial will be in Skinner Chapel Cemetery, near Twelve Mile.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
