Charlie Patchett, 63, Twelve Mile, passed away at 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at his residence.
Born on August 12, 1950 in Kokomo, Indiana he was the son of the late Charles S. and Ruth F. Flick Patchett. On October 14, 1973, he was married to Janet K. Buzbee, and she survives.
Charlie was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. In March 1986, he attended and graduated from the American Institute of Taxidermy in Janesville, Wisconsin after which he opened his own taxidermy shop. He worked in construction most of his life, and he even designed and helped build his own home.
Back in high school, Charlie was an outstanding athlete for Western High School where he earned the nickname, "The Baby Bull." He enjoyed watching his favorite professional football team, The Green Bay Packers.
In 1981, Charlie gave his life to the Lord and was baptized in the Twelve Mile Creek. He was a member of Corinth Brethren Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, Jeff (Deb) Patchett; two sisters, Ruth Ann Collins and Jeanie Downs; and several nieces and nephews, Bryan Downs, Ashley Downs, Gina (Chris) Elmore, Kellie (Roman) Maynes, Ray (Andrea) Williams, Gena Gentry, Dave Gentry, and Christy Hood.
He was preceded in death by one brother, David Gentry. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2013 at Corinth Brethren Church with Pastor Ben Pippen Officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Corinth Brethren Church.
