Cynthia Michelle Carpenter

Cynthia Michelle Carpenter, 49, Lafayette, Indiana, passed away at 8:48 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at IU Health Arnett, Lafayette.

Born October 17, 1974, in Peru, Indiana, she was the daughter of Ricky Wright and Deborah (Worden) Achey. 

 Cynthia graduated from Rudae’s School of Beauty in Kokomo and was owner/operator of Bombshell Salon in Frankfort, Indiana. She had four cockatoos André, Ozzie, Oswell, and Baby that she spoiled with a great amount of attention. She was a loving grandmother and enjoyed spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible. 

 Survivors include her parents, Deborah (Rick) Achey, Peru; Ricky (Patty) Wright, Peru; children, Samantha (Adam) Radel, Peru; Ashley Maxwell (Maurice Shanklin), Lafayette; and Richard (Lexi) Carpenter; grandchildren, Ella, Gabriel, Treyvon, Lillian, Jashaun, Makhi, Arianna, Hayden, and Harmony; grandmother, Thelma Worden, Denver; siblings, Crystal (Phillip) Dunham, Denver; Angie (Thomas) Roark, Peru; Marcus (Trisha) White, Converse; James (Diane) White; Michael (Bethanne) White, Peru; Jaclyn McDonald, Peru; and Jesse (Summer) Wright, Peru; and Shane (Michele) Murphy, Kokomo. Survivors also include her companion, Brad Susong. 

 She was preceded in death by a daughter, Whitney Michelle Carpenter. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.
