Dana Ray Zartman

Dana Ray Zartman, 52, Rochester, passed away at 4:50 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at his residence.

Born January 27, 1957 in Rochester, Indiana he was the son of Forest "Bud" and Harriet R. Hoehne Zartman. On November 14, 1981 at the Mexico Church of the Brethren he was married to Jill K. Scott.

He was a member of the Fulton Baptist Temple and AWANA Game Leader. He was a 1975 graduate of Caston High School where he played basketball and held the shotput and discus school records for several years. He was a self-employed carpenter.

Dana was known as a wonderful husband, dad, brother, and friend. He leaves behind his wife, Jill; mother, Harriet; son, Silas B. Zartman, Rochester; daughter, Erica L. Zartman, Rochester; one sister, Jo Willis, Macy; one brother Randy Zartman; mother-in-law, Bea Scott, Logansport; two sisters-in-law, Cyrena (Ray) Staller, Logansport; Julie (Dave) Fred, Kewanna; two brothers-in-law, Kevin (Cindy) Scott and Dana (Kelly) Scott, Logansport; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Forest "Bud" Zartman; father-in-law, Carl J. Scott; and brother-in-law, Benny J. Willis.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Fulton Baptist Temple with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Fulton Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call from 2-8:00 p.m. on Friday September 18, 2009 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice or Fulton Baptist Temple.
