David Lee “Buz” Buzbee, 57, Bunker Hill, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, Indiana.
Born May 12, 1957 in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Ralph J.Buzbee and the former Mildred Eileen Ramer.
A graduate of Maconaquah High School, he went on to join the United States Navy. During his service to our country, he was stationed on the US Enterprise where he an aircraft mechanic. While in service in California, he serviced instruments on the Blue Angel Airplanes.
Returning from the Navy, David began his life as a career trucker, working for Miami Trucking for over fifteen years. He enjoyed camping, canoeing the rivers of Indiana, and through reading, he enjoyed expanding his knowledge of history, geology, Indiana, Indians, and early explorers.
He is survived by his mother, Mildred Eileen Buzbee, Logansport; and siblings, Ralph DeWayne Buzbee and wife Barbara, Glendale, Arizona; Janet Patchett, Peru; Phil Buzbee and wife Kim, North Manchester; and Bart Buzbee, Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver with Pastor George Dinkel. Private burial was held in Santa Fe Cemetery, Santa Fe, Indiana.
