David Wesley Wadman 80, Peru, Indiana, passed away at 2:48 A.M. Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was born on November 23, 1944 in New Castle, Indiana, the son of Wesley W. and Sally (Messick) Wadman. He served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War, receiving numerous citations for his service in Vietnam, and retired from active military duty as Sgt. First Class in 1988. On May 14, 1994 in Chili, Indiana, he married Patricia K. (Rials) Dunnuck and she survives.
After retiring from the military, he later worked for and retired from Chrysler Automotive, Kokomo. He had been a member of the Moose Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a Free Mason. In his spare- time he enjoyed playing golf and spending time in his yard mowing.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia K. Wadman, Peru, Indiana, children, Julia L. (David) Mather, Houston, Texas, Heather Dunnuck, Denver, Indiana, Kimberly (Scott) Monce, Sheridan, Indiana, Jamie Dunnuck, Denver, Indiana, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, brother, Phillip A. (Maggie) Wadman, Muncie, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Hope Renee’ Johnson, and grandson, Rodney James Monce.
