David Mark Zartman 53, Twelve Mile, Indiana, passed away at 8:35 A.M. Thursday
June 26, 2014 at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born on December 27, 1960 in Peru, Indiana, the son of David Bender and
Barbara Joann (Arthur) Zartman.
Mr. Zartman was employed at Medtronic Inc. in Warsaw, Indiana, and had
worked for many years at Lau Industries, Rochester, Indiana. Over the years he
had also worked at various restaurants as chef in Kokomo, Peru and in Bradenton,
Florida. He was a member of the Twelve Mile United Methodist Church, loved to
travel, read, and spend time with his nieces and nephews. Most of all, he enjoyed
visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Joann Zartman, Twelve Mile, Indiana,
sisters, Twila and husband Kevin Childress, Sharpsville, Indiana, Robin Spencer
and fiance’ Larry Freeman, Royal Center, Indiana, nieces, Shannon and husband
Henry Torres, Logansport, Indiana, Melisa and husband Tony Holmes, Sharpsville,
Indiana, nephew, Adam Spencer, Logansport, Indiana, great niece and nephew,
Anthony Torres and Riana Torres, Logansport, Indiana, honorary brother, Josh
Cree, Twelve Mile, Indiana, aunts and uncles, Harvey and wife Peggy Arthur,
Akron, Indiana, Mary and husband Richard Wood, Akron, Indiana, numerous
cousins, and his feline companion, Frankie. He was preceded in death by his
father, grandparents and special aunt, Jane Jones.
Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Sunday June 29, 2014 at Twelve
Mile United Methodist Church, Twelve Mile, Indiana. Friends may visit from 4-6
P.M. Sunday at the church. Burial will be at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery,
Mexico, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Twelve Mile First
Responders, Twelve Mile United Methodist Church, Deedsville United Methodist
