Edna M. Reed

Edna M. Reed, 49, of Peru passed away at 1:34 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Born April 28, 1961 in Peru, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mildred Ensley Smith.

Edna was a Christian homemaker and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loved making cakes, reading, and spending time outside.

Survivors include her children: Alvin "Junior" Roberts. and wife Michelle, and their children Azarius, Ariana, Avain, Acacia, Araceli, and Alijah, all of Logansport; Stephen Roberts and wife Amie "Lou", and their children Rebecca, Alexandria, and Emma, all of Peru; Phillip Roberts, and his children, KyLynn and Ashlynn, all of Peru; and Amanda Carol Reed, Peru; brothers Howard W. Smith and wife Elsie, Lafountain; Mike E. Smith and Dan B. Smith and Geodie, all of Peru; sisters, Marylou Gladwell and husband Terry, Shrub Oak, New York; Barb Adams, Peru; Susan Helton and husband John, Peru; Kathi Leonhardt, Peru; and Tammy Finney and husband Steve, Peru.

He was preceded in death by one brother Stephen Smith and one sister-in-law Lana Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2011 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. She will be laid to rest at Chili Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. before the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, love offerings may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
