Edward Charles “Buck” Howard, 55, Macy, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017, at his residence.
Born September 13, 1961, in Knox, Indiana, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Anna Miller Howard.
Buck worked at Fulton Industries for many years. After the factory closed, he worked at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, where he was in charge of maintenance and the grounds. He was a man of great mechanical talent and enjoyed working all types of different things. For the past several years, he enjoyed making holiday decorations for the town of Macy.
He is survived by his companion Terri Holbrook, Macy; children, Mandy Sparks and companion, Boone, Cynthiana, KY; Zachary Howard and wife Jessica, Morehead, KY, Jeremy Heckathorn and companion Becky Elliott, Macy; and Jamie Heckathorn, Macy; four grandchildren, Haley and K.J. Sparks, Cynthiana, KY; Brantley Howard, Morehead, KY; and Owen Swanson, Macy; four siblings, Lloyd (Phyllis) Howard, Culver; Shelby (Candy) Howard, Rochester; Susie (Rick) Clingler, Delong; David “Skeeter” (Dee) Howard, Grovertown; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Clyde Howard, and a sister, Ruby Howard.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Pastor Pat Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery, Macy.
Visitation will be from 6-9:00 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home.
