Elijah Samuel Prophitt, 11 months, Logansport was called to heaven at 6:04 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at St. Vincent Women's Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on January 22, 2009 in Logansport he was the son of Micheal and Kimberly Dawn DeHaven Prophitt.

Elijah is survived by his parents of Logansport; paternal grandparents, Jerome Prophitt and wife Janet, Logansport; and Patricia L. Shaw and husband Daniel, Midwest City, Oklahoma; maternal grandparents, Larry J. and Cindy C. DeHaven, Logansport; paternal great grandmothers, Grace Sprayberry, Goldville, Alabama and Pauline Prophitt, Alexander City, Alabama; maternal great grandmother, Frances Vandeventor, Lafayette; and maternal great-great grandmother, Mabel Burden, Logansport. He also leaves behind an uncle, Jesse DeHaven who lives with Micheal and Kimberly, the NICU staff that cared for him at Logansport Memorial Hospital, St. Elizabeth's Hospital-Lafayette, and St. Vincent's Women's Hospital, Indianapolis, and the entire church family at Skinner Worship Chapel including special friends, Barb and Melvin McCurley, Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Skinner Worship Chapel with Pastor Tom Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to remember Elijah's life and to comfort his family between 10 and 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family through Skinner Worship Chapel.
