Ellen Louise (Payne) Eaker

April 28, 1945 — January 30, 2017

Ellen Louise Eaker, 71, Galveston, passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017, at her residence.

Born April 28, 1945, in Morehouse, Missouri, she was the daughter of Wilburn Sparrell and Lucille Brown Payne.  On April 20, 1963, in Kokomo, Indiana, she was married to Earnest Gene Eaker, and he survives.

Ellen was a 1963 graduate of Kokomo High School and retired from Delco Electronics, Kokomo.  She enjoyed gardening, camping, and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband, Earnest Gene Eaker, Galveston; daughter, Pamela Gayle Clouthier, Galveston; daughter-in-law, Dawn Eaker, Denver; four grandchildren, Daniel Clouthier and wife Tristan, Kokomo; Joshua Clouthier and wife Nichole, Kokomo; Daryn Sturch and husband, Hayden, Chili; and Dustyn Shrock and companion Jennifer Cecil, Kokomo; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Ryland, Wyatt, Gavyn, and Bryanne; two sisters, Gail Thieke, Kokomo; and Nancy Payne, Kokomo.

Preceding in death are her parents; one son, Brian Kent Eaker; sister, Marilynn Gann, and brother, James Payne.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Ellers Mortuary, Main Street Chapel, Kokomo, Indiana, with Chaplain Jason See officiating.  Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Ellers Mortuary, Main Street Chapel, Kokomo.
