Elpha B Cover

Elpha B. Cover, 101, a lifelong resident of Denver, Indiana passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Peru.

Born May 22, 1913 near Deedsville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Burchard and Clara B. See Leedy On November 9, 1935, she was married to William Harley Cover, and he preceded in death on April 4, 1976.

She was a seventy-five year member of the Denver Baptist Church. As an active member of the North Miami Community, she was caretaker for the Denver Community Building for many years.

Survivors include three children, Becky Gray and husband Larry, Denver; Bill L. Cover and wife Sherry, Peru; Mike Cover and wife Marge, London , Ohio; grandchildren, Kent Gray, Denver, Colorado; Andrea Eakins, Bentonville, Indiana; John Cover, Ohio; David Cover, Ohio; and Denise Rairigh, Manitowoc, Wisconsin; twelve great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and another due in October; and one brother, Raymond Leedy, Sebring, Florida.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joellen Cover and one grandson, Coty Sholty Cover.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at McClain Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Earle officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 3-7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Denver Baptist Church , Hickory Creek Nursing Home, or Westlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by McClain Funeral Home, Denver.
