Frances June Weaver

Frances June Keirn Weaver, 91, Carmichael, California, passed away on Thursday morning, April 24, 2014 at her residence with her loving husband by her side.

Born August 9, 1922 in Wabash County, near Disko, Indiana, she was the daughter of Frank R. and Hazel Kreiter Lukens.  On May 6, 1943 in Fort Worth, Texas, she was married to Max E. Keirn, and he preceded her in death on December 6, 1989.  She was then married on May 25, 1998 to Roy T. Weaver, and he survives.

She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Peru.  Fran was a gourmet cook, preparing many fantastic meals for her family and friends to enjoy.  As an accomplished seamstress, her skills with a needle and thread produced many beautiful creations and in her spare time, she enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Roy T. Weaver, Carmichael, California; her children, Kellene K. “Kelly” Keirn Meadows and husband Bill, Peru; Zachary A. Keirn, Boulder, Colorado; Joshua Weaver and his wife Monica, San Lorenzo, California; and Roy Andrew Weaver and fiancé Melissa, Carmichael, California; eleven grandchildren, Linda McDougall, Yvonne Krenzelak, Eric Keirn, Frank Keirn, Jason Keirn, Fabian Keirn, Rachel Lind, Richard Keirn, Jay Meadows, Maxwell Keirn, and Grant Weaver; one brother, Frederick Lukens, Warsaw; and one daughter-in-law, Janet Keirn, Alaska.  She is also survived by several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Rex E. Keirn, and Michael F. Keirn, and one sister, Lois Purdy.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver with Pastor Bob Adelsperger officiating.  Burial will follow in Chili Community Cemetery, Chili.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of service.
