Harold Leroy Kotterman

Harold Leroy Kotterman, 78, Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, at the DuBois Nursing Home in DuBois, Pennsylvania.

Born July 24, 1943, in Fulton County, Indiana, he was the son of Harry L. and Velma L. (Runkle) Kotterman.

He attended the Deedsville High School, graduating in 1960.  After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army.  After basic training, he was deployed to Korea, where he completed his tour of duty and then returned to the Macy area.  Once home, he was employed Seal Power in Rochester and Wilson meat Packing in Logansport.

After working in the factories, he took up his true passion…being on the open road.  He first drove for Indiana Motor Bus out of Logansport.  After that, his true love of driving a semi started with Schneider Trucking and Crete Truck Line.  He was a member of the Teamsters and retired in 2010.

In 1965, he married Nancy Southerton, who he later divorced.  He was also married in 1972 to Sandra Budd, which also ended in divorce. In September 1980, he married Donna Tapper who preceded him in death in 2018.

He is survived by one daughter, Tina (Donald) Moyer, Nappanee; two sons, Craig (Chip) Feller, Des Moines, IA; and Donald (Latricia) Fitzgibbon, Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Amber (Ronald) Weiss, Kristen (Josh) Sommers; Samantha Feller; John (Amy), Trent (Bethany), Ryan, Abby, and Joe Fitzgibbon; Haley (Tyler), Tiffany (Brandon), Steven, Aaron, and Amanda Fitzgibbon; seventeen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Donna Jean Halterman, Macy; Wilda Slisher, Roann; Lois (Michael) Lyons, Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, Doris Ann and Sharon Louise Kotterman, daughter, Marsha Kotterman; son, Ronald Fitzgibbon; grandson, PFC Patrick Fitzgibbon; two brothers-in-law, Lessel Halterman and Richard Slisher; and one daughter-in-law, Wendy Fitzgibbon.

Funeral services will be held at Noon Saturday, February 12, 2022, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor David Welsh officiating.  Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Macy.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. 12:00 p.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
