Harold Reffitt, 81, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 1:40 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Born August 30, 1936, in Risner, Kentucky, he was the son of Clyde and Dorothy Ellen Stephens Reffitt. On April 20, 1952, in Martin, Kentucky, he was married to Biddie Jane Bradley, and she survives.
After moving to the area, he worked for the Peru Foundry and later retired from Kaiser in Fulton, Indiana. He was an avid gardener, known for growing giant tomatoes.
Survivors include his wife, Biddie Reffitt, Rochester; one son, Carl (Jill) Reffitt, Peru; daughter-in-law, Brenda Reffitt, Rochester; thirteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou (Lee) Bradley, Denver; and brothers, Clifford James (Candy) Reffitt, Rochester; and J.T. Reffitt, Peru.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Marcus J. Reffitt, and Harold W. Reffitt; two brothers, Larry Dean Reffitt and Clyde Herschel Reffitt; and one granddaughter, Stephanie Jo Reffitt.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana. Burial will follow in Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
