Helen Lois Moss, 92, Logansport, and formerly of Twelve Mile, passed away at 11:18 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at McKinney Place, Logansport.
Born November 15, 1923, in Cass County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Edward Cornelian and Ada Alice Preiser Patton. On June 24, 1945, in the Miami Baptist Church, she was married to Donald Deane Moss, and he preceded her in death on October 5, 2006.
Helen was an active member of the Twelve Mile United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed teaching, working with the youth, and playing the piano for many years. She enjoyed quilting, but her favorite hobby was fishing. For many years, she was the bookkeeper for Skinner Grocery and Appliance Store in Twelve Mile, and she retired from the United States Post Office.
She is survived by her three children, Jeffrey Deane Moss and wife Wanda, Twelve Mile; Dennis Lee “Denny” Moss and wife Bonnie, Rochester; and Peggy Lynn Dague and husband Jim, Grass Creek; six grandchildren, Wade (Deborah) Moss, Michael (Kristie) Moss, Elizabeth (Brent) Thomas, Sarah Moss, Andrew (Janet) Dague, and Julie (Caleb) Russell; and sixteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Herman, Robert, John, and Max Patton; and three sisters, Delcie Swigart, Merle Crowe, and Florence Stineman.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at the Twelve Mile United Methodist Church, with Pastor Darlene DeHaai officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver.
