James R. Miniear, 61, Macy, passed away at his residence.
Born December 15, 1960, in Hartford City, Indiana, he was the son of Richard Terrance Miniear and the former Wanda Jean Graham.
He was a contractor by trade and enjoyed spending many hours in the woods looking for mushrooms and arrowheads.
Survivors include his son, Jesse Miniear, Kokomo; two grandchildren, Mackenzie Miniear and Skyla Miniear, both of Kokomo; two sisters, Gail (Neale) Dugger, Kokomo; and Joyce (Philip) Kline, Kokomo; one brother, Kevin Miniear, Hartford City; and several nieces and nephews; and his longtime companion’s daughter, Denella (Maya) Garcia, Watkins, Iowa, and all of her family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Olivia Miniear; step-father, Russell Bennett; brother, Steven Miniear; and longtime companion, Edith Browning.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. Burial will follow in Five Corners Cemetery, Macy.
Visitation will be from 4-6:00 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
