Janet Elaine (Rhinebarger) Dillman, age 80, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at McKinney Place, Logansport, Indiana.
She was born on February 26, 1938, in Miami County, Indiana, to Grover Allen and Hazel Aleta Rhinebarger. She was the youngest of seven children. Janet was married on March 3, 1957, to Ronald L. Dillman in the Corinth Brethren Church at Twelve Mile. He preceded her in death on October 4, 2013.
She was a member of the Corinth Brethren Church. She enjoyed going to the W.M.S. sewing days at the church. She also liked to sew and make quilts at home. Many of the quilts she donated to families in need and also gave each grandchild a quilt when they graduated from high school. In the summer time, she enjoyed working outdoors in her flower beds.
Janet graduated from Twelve Mile High School in 1956. She had lived on the same dairy farm outside of Twelve Mile for nearly sixty years.
A passionate seamstress, she worked at JoAnn Fabrics for almost four years and later in the fabric and sewing department at Walmart for nearly eleven years.
Janet is survived by two sons; Kevin D. Dillman, Twelve Mile and Dana T. Dillman, Nashville, TN; and three daughters, Debra L. Holliman (Bryan) of Logansport, Dawn E. Pickens of Warsaw and Cynthia C. McIntosh (Keith) of Nashville, TN; ten grandchildren, Chasity Johnson (Michael), Dustin Dillman (Megan), Ericka Bower (Chase), Alex Dillman, Matthew Holliman, Lincoln Holliman, Lindsey Dunithan (Matt), Kayley McIntosh (fiancé Brady Bruner), Brandon McIntosh, and Ryan McIntosh; five great-granddaughters; Brooklyn, Paytyn and Addysyn Dillman, and Piper and Mercy Johnson; two great-grandsons, Bodie and Daxton Dunithan and one step great-grandson Aiden Johnson.
Janet is also survived by one sister, Mary Myers, Kokomo and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Rozella Rector, Pauline Mast and Helen Laudenschlager, along with two brothers, Robert Rhinebarger and Wayne Rhinebarger; two nieces; and four nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Cole Westwood officiating. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
