Jerry L. Judy, 68, Peru, passed away Saturday evening, March 28, 2009 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He had been battling cancer since 2006.
He was born Jan. 1, 1941 in Wabash County to Raymond and Rowena Robertson Judy. In December 2003, he was married to Kathy French, and she survives.
He was a retired roofer, and he enjoyed horseback riding, mushroom hunting and being outdoors.
Surviving besides his wife are his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rev. Ed and Vaudene French, Silver Lake; three daughters, Tracy Cave and husband Larry, Rochester, Katrina Fisher and husband Lance, Logansport, and Melissa Judy, Peru; two stepsons, Brian Judy and wife Ruby, Denver, and Steven Judy and wife Amanda, North Manchester; one stepdaughter, Kelly Sible, Peru; four grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Phyllis Moore, Peru, Deloras Pugh, Peru, and Janet See and husband Larry, Peru.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Judy; one sister, Annie Holland; and one son, Dennis Judy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 on Tuesday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Chaplain Steve Fleck officiating.
Burial will follow in South Pleasant Cemetery, near Silver Lake.
Friends are invited to call from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday before the funeral service.
