Jerry Lynn Tigler, 70, Denver, passed away at 1:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2016, at his residence.
Born on February 15, 1946, in Fulton County, Indiana, he was the son of George W. and Alma M. Winegardner Tigler. On August 16, 1968, in Roann, Indiana, he was married to Cindy Kay Judy, and she survives.
Jerry worked for over twenty-five years for United Technologies. He had worked as Miami County Animal Control Officer, and he was most recently employed by Vohne Liche Kennels. He was a veteran on the United States Army and had served in Viet Nam. For several years, he was the owner/operator of Tigler Nursery.
Along with his wife Cindy Judy, Denver, he is survived by two children, Fred Tigler and wife Kelly, Junction City, Illinois; and daughter, Dawn Hawks and husband Todd, Mishawaka, Indiana; five grandchildren, Presley Boyer, Caleb Hawks, Dathan Berndt, Justin Arbaugh, and Kaelyn Tigler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy Dean Tigler.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Miami County Military Rites Team at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 3-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver.
Memorial contributions may be made to Westlawn Cemetery Association.
