Kevin David Dillman, 66, formerly of Twelve Mile, Indiana, passed away at 4:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at his residence in Logansport.
Born January 13, 1958, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Ronald Lee and Janet E. (Rhinebarger) Dillman.
He was a 1976 graduate of Caston High School. Growing up on a dairy farm outside of Twelve Mile, he continued working in the dairy industry for several years. Being around farmers and the farming industry was something he always enjoyed. Kevin never knew a stranger; he could talk to someone he never met before for hours. If you were a friend, family member, or a foe…he’d love to play a practical joke on you. He was also an independent contractor operating his own business in addition to working for several others. Kevin was an avid sports fan; he loved the IU Hoosiers (especially the Bobby Knight basketball years), St. Louis Cardinals, and the Indianapolis Colts. Kevin liked to share his political opinions with others…whether you wanted to hear them or not. Remember to vote accordingly this Fall-to honor him or honk him off! He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include four children, Chasity R. (Michael) Johnson, Rantoul, Illinois; Dustin K. (Megan) Dillman, Royal Center; Ericka M. (Chase) Bower, Royal Center; and Alex M. Dillman, Royal Center; nine grandchildren, Aiden Johnson, Piper Johnson, Mercy Johnson, Justus Johnson, Brooklynn Dillman, Paytyn Dillman, Addisyn Dillman, Breck Bower, and Jaxtyn Bower; siblings, Debra (Bryan) Holliman, Logansport; Dawn Pickens, Warsaw; Dana Dillman, Antioch, Tennessee; and Cynthia (Keith) McIntosh, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Over the years, Kevin has struggled with his diabetes and other health related conditions. His medical team became part of his extended family, for which he was grateful for both their care and friendship.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
