Lester Bruce Carvey, 58, 3212 Country Club Drive East, Rochester, passed away at 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at his residence.

Born March 13, 1952 in Rochester, he was the son Lester Dee and Donna Richter Carvey. On June 8, 1974 at St. Thomas Aquinas in West Lafayette he was married to Gloria M. Bartleman, and she survives.

Bruce was a life member of the Macy Christian Church, and was also a member of the Moose and Elks Clubs of Rochester. Bruce was owner/operator and enjoyed farming for many years.

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his parents, of Macy; two daughters, Lisa A. Reffett and husband Shane and their son, Jack Carvey Reffett, all of Rochester; and Stacey A. Carvey-Schoenhals and husband Lukas, Rochester; one sister, Kaye Hermann and husband Brad, Macy; sister-in-law, Carol "Cookie" Dimond and husband Robert, Rochester; and one niece, Tanya McKee and husband Sean, Rochester, and their children, Kelsey, Kensey, and Karsyn.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Macy Christian Church with Pastor Dave Welsh officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery, Macy.

Visitation will be from 2-8:00 p.m. on Friday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver and one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Macy Christian Church or Hope Hospice.
