Lamoine Earl Troxell 84, New Waverly, Indiana, passed away at 12:15 A.M. Friday October 3, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on April 15, 1930, in Peru, Indiana, the son of Arthur and Mildred L. (McClain) Troxell. On October 26, 1952 in Wabash, Indiana, he married Donna Crull and she survives. He was a 1949 graduate of Peru High School. He served as a cook in the US Army from 1951 to 1952.
Lamoine was a member of the River of Life Christian Church in Logansport, Indiana and a fifty year member of the Peru Masonic Lodge. He retired from Delco Electronics at Kokomo, Indiana in 1977.
He enjoyed gardening, quilting, tatting, crochet, cooking and hanging out with his Chihuahua “Taco”.
Surviving with his wife, Donna Troxell, New Waverly, Indiana, are three sons, Delwin (Dhing) Troxell, Steven (Karen) Troxell, Stanley Troxell and one daughter, Debra (Michael) Harp, all of New Waverly, Indiana, one brother, Darrell (Wanda) Troxell, Beavertown, Pennsylvania, grandchildren, Myla Carson, Nathan Harp, KaraLee Belford, Jon Troxell, Casey Hill, Aaron Troxell, Barry Troxell, Benjamin Troxell, Jennifer Troxell and Brandon Troxell, eleven great-grandchildren, Madison Harp, Dayne, Levi and Delaney Hill, Emma Troxell, Nicholas and Alexander Belford, Leanna and Alyssa Troxell-Caad, Gia and Jayme Carson.
A funeral service celebrating Lamoine’s life will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday October 7, 2014 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana. Burial will follow at PawPaw Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Monday and one hour prior to service Tuesday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
