Laurabell Long

Laurabell June Long, 89, Peru, passed away at 4:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 at her residence. Born June 14, 1920 in Mexico, Indiana she was the son of Thomas R. and Chora V. Fisher Pugh. She married William E. Long on March 20, 1940, and he preceded in death on May 10, 1990. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and baking. She attended the New Waverly United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughter Judith Ellington and her husband William, Peru, Indiana; one brother Medford Pugh, and his wife Norma, Atlanta, Georgia; and one sister Ruby Ecklebarger, Peru; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by several brothers. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2010 at New Waverly United Methodist Church with Pastor Glenn Knepp officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Friends are invited to call from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday before the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Waverly United Methodist Church.
