Leola Willis, 93, formerly of Macy, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Golden Living-Sycamore Village, Kokomo, Indiana.
Born March 7, 1929, in Pike County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of King Solomon Tackett and Stanley B. (Townsend) Tackett. She was married to Trulen Ray Willis, and he preceded her in death.
She attended Fulton Baptist Church in Fulton, Indiana, and had retired from Vintage RBM Essex Wire in Logansport, Indiana.
Survivors include her children, Monte (Wanda) Willis, Kokomo; Roger Dale (Sandra) Willis, Texas; and Janet Sue Sandefur, Logansport; grandchildren, Tony Willis and Curt Willis, Tennessee; Shelly Bostic, Fishers; Michael Sandefur, Robert Sandefur, and Fred Sandefur, all of Kentucky; and step-grandchildren, Desire Bosquez and Josie Bosquez, of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son and daughter-in-law, Benny J. and Jo (Zartman) Willis; son-in-law, James Larry Sandefur; and siblings, Huddleston Tackett, Allie Tackett, Arlie Tackett, Irene Drake and Leatha Countryman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Metea Cemetery, Metea, Indiana.
Visitation will be held from noon-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kokomo Humane Society.
