Linda Jo Blue Davenport, 63, formerly of Rochester, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Fargo, North Dakota, following a brief illness.
Born on March 4, 1951 in Miami County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Marjorie Joan Polk Blue.
Linda was a 1969 graduate of Maconaquah High School before going on to college to obtain her BS and MS degrees in education. Linda was a devoted Christian, giving her time and talents to various congregations over the years in the communities where she was living. Linda was a talented needlepoint artist, creating many treasures for her family, friends, and churches.
She leaves behind three children to cherish her memory, Joseph Davenport and his wife Jacquelyn, Harwood, North Dakota; Jessie Davenport, Fargo, North Dakota; and Jodie Davenport, Tempe, Arizona; two grandchildren, Kaily and Kaiden Davenport, Harwood, North Dakota; and one brother, Gregory Alan Blue and his wife Teresa, Fifield, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Mark Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
