Lorin Ross Bader

December 11, 1937 — April 20, 2013

Lorin Ross Bader, 75, Peru, passed away Saturday morning at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born December 11, 1937 in Terry, Montana, he was the son of Ross Byron and Adeline Renz Bader.

He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion, Peru; Moose Lodge, Peru; Eagles Lodge, Peru; Cresent Lodge-York Rite; Scottish Right, Ft. Wayne Valley; and Mizpah Shrine, Ft. Wayne.

He was retired Civil Service working at Grissom Air Force Base as a maintenance supervisor, and he retired in 1994. After retiring from Grissom, he became a truck driver working for J.B. Hunt and T&P Express.

He is survived by two children Lorie R. Offutt, and husband Tim, Logansport; and Lorin Ross Bader, Jr., Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters, Crystal Labeer, Denver, Colorado ; and Iris Grant, Bozeman, Montana; five grandchildren, Amber Riley and husband Jake, Peru; Christopher Offutt, Logansport; Adam Offutt, Logansport; Kacey Amanda Scates, Indianapolis; Stormie Sky Tarver, Ft. Worth, Texas; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Bader and one sister Lorraine Hanley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver with full military rites.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
