Marcella Mae Murphy, 84, Peru, and formerly of Denver, passed away at 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Life Care Center, Rochester. Born July 21, 1925 in Peru, Indiana she was the daughter of Paul and Minnie Hartish. On November 9, 1947 at the Chili United Methodist Church, she was married to Lyman Edward "Bud" Murphy, and he preceded in death on February 7, 2004. She was a member of the Chili United Methodist Church and had worked at the North Miami School Cafeteria for a number of years. Survivors include one son, David Edward Murphy, Logansport; and one daughter, June R. Brown and husband Jerry, Peru; three grandchildren, Melissa Newman, Fishers; Amy Newman, Mexico and companion, Dean Woodhouse, Denver; Stacey Wilson and husband Ira Wilson, Denver; four great-grandchildren, Jesse Losch, Dakota Woodhouse, Shayna Wilson, and Kiele Wilson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Hackett; and two brothers, Bud Bethel and Robert Hartish. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at Skinner Worship Chapel with Pastor Guy Woodhouse officiating. Burial will be in Chili Cemetery. Friends may call from 9-11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by McClain Funeral Home, Denver.
