Marigold Joy Lowe, 89, formerly of Twelve Mile, passed away at 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Cedar Creek of Logansport.
Born July 28, 1934, in Roann, Indiana, she was the daughter of George L. Dawald, Sr. and Mary Floy Gray Dawald. On February 14, 1954, in Roann, Indiana, she was married to Donald E. Lowe, and he preceded her in death on June 15, 2004.
Marigold was a graduate of Gilead High School. She was a longtime active member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, near Twelve Mile and later Anoka Community Church. She retired as the Postmaster in Twelve Mile, where she had worked for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Mark E. (Monica) Lowe, Twelve Mile; Todd A. (Malissa) Lowe, Galveston; and a daughter, Joni L. Thompson, Fremont; six grandchildren, Ashley Lowe, Indianapolis; Tyler Lowe (Hannah Freeman), Twelve Mile; Morgan (Fonte´) O’Neal, Kokomo; Nolan Lowe (Taylor Miles), Kokomo; Joy Thompson, Ft. Wayne; and Anna Thompson, Minneapolis; her favorite great-grandson, Andre Eckhart, Ft. Wayne.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, George Dawald, Jr., Marx Dawald, and Richard Dawald.
The family wishes to say thank you for the loving and compassionate care extended to Marigold and the family by her pastors and the staff of Gentiva Hospice and Cedar Creek.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2023, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana. Chaplain Teri White and Pastor Doug Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, near Twelve Mile.
Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlehem Cemetery.
