Marvin Dean Moore, 95, Denver, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Born July 30, 1927, in Afton, Iowa, he was the son of Howard Lester and Constance Gladys Marie (Boles) Moore. In August 1950, he was married Peggy Joyce Hatfield, and she survives.
Marvin retired from Square D Corporation in Peru and had worked for Miami County Highway Department and Thermogas. He had also worked in construction and often recalled helping build the first McDonald’s in Denver, Colorado. He had a great passion for fishing and loved spending time with his buddies going on trips where they enjoyed the great outdoors.
Survivors include five children, Pastor Ron (Marsha) Moore, Syracuse; Estel Dean Moore, Bennetts Switch; Patricia Marie (Dennis) Garvin, Peru; Margie Dawn Stevenson, Grabill; and Michael (Shirley “Pinky”) Moore, Chili; seven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul Eugene Moore and Dale Earl Moore
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.
Visitation will be from noon-2:00 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home.
