Mary Elizabeth Lyons, 88, Macy, formerly of Milan, Michigan and Tipton, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016
Born January 13, 1928, in Tipton County, Indiana, she was the daughter of William Cecil Mattingly and Agnes Cecelia Fox Mattingly. She was married to Richard James Lyons, and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1996.
Mary was an active member of the Milan Senior Citizens and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Milan, Michigan before moving back to Indiana in 2013. She also attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Peru.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Butt and husband William, Macy; and Ann Marie Lyons, Monroe, Michigan; one granddaughter Maureen Bohanon and husband Jason, Springfield, Missouri; and one great-grandson, Conner Bohanon, Springfield, Missouri.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, William Joseph Mattingly, James Patrick Mattingly, Louise Marie Epp, Rita Ann Fields, and Theresa Marie Roe.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at St. John’s Catholic Cemtery, Tipton, Indiana with Pastor Dave Welsh officiating. A Memorial Mass will be will celebrated in Michigan at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Building Fund.
