Mary Louise Nolen, 75, Peru, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022, at her residence.
Born March 12, 1947, in Logansport, Indiana, she was the daughter of Ashel Wesley and Ruth Marie Crispen Tabler.
Mary enjoyed crocheting, playing her handheld Yahtzee game, playing euchre with family and friends and being involved in get togethers. Mary, even at 75, struggled to see how much she was loved, but she was loved unconditionally by those that knew and loved her. Mary loved her children and grandchildren dearly, and that always shined so brightly. Mary would have given her last dollar to someone in need, even if that meant she would struggle. Mary was a mother, a nana, a great-grandmother and so much more. When you remember her, her wish would be that you remember the good times and smile, knowing that she is resting high on that mountain with her Heavenly Father.
Survivors include her three children, Pammy Tabler (Chris Dodge), Fulton; Nicole Jones (Joseph Fisher), Mexico; and Charlie (Stacey) Nolen, Logansport; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; three siblings, Beverly Slisher, Fulton; Larry Tabler, Logansport; and Marcia (Raytrump) Honkomp, Argos.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Paula Conklin; and two brothers, Richard “Dick” Tabler, and Randall Tabler.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana.
I Heard Your Voice in the Wind
I heard your voice in the wind today and I turned to see your face.
The warmth of the wind caressed me as I silently stood in place.
I felt your touch in the sun today as its warmth filled the sky.
I closed my eyes for your embrace and my spirit soared high.
I saw your eyes in the window pane as I watched the falling rain.
It seemed that, as each raindrop fell, it quietly said your name.
I held you close in my heart today.
It made me feel complete.
Yes, you have died, but you are not gone. You’re always a part of me.
As long as the sun keeps shining, the rains fall, the winds blow, you will live in me forever.
This is what my heart knows.
