Maryalice (Boicourt) Shoemaker

Maryalice Shoemaker, 98, formerly of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in the care of her granddaughter at her residence in Twelve Mile.

Born January 20, 1923, in Addison, Illinois, she was the daughter of Chase and Maryalice (Mix) Boicourt.  On July 4, 1947, in Georgia, she was married to Theron Ellsworth Shoemaker, and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1987.

She was retired from Delco Electronics in Kokomo, where she had worked for twenty-four years.  She loved crossword puzzles, board games, and hard candy and chocolate!

Survivors include two daughters, Diana (Gene) Meyers, Kokomo; and Brenda Warnock, Fulton; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jaime) Loftis, Twelve Mile; Melanie (Jamie) Stroud, Roann; Lori Love, Fulton; Gene Walker, Denver; Serena (Brent) Harrington, Kokomo; and Tina Gus, Peru; great-grandchildren, Cohlton Browning, Taylor Loftis, Elijah Loftis, Raiden Loftis, Cailen Walker, Kevin Sherrill, Kayla Walrod, Karea Walrod, Christopher Hindman, Kadin Winchester, Kyler Winchester, Kassiah Love, Austin Burton, William Miller, Garrett Walker, Jamie Taylor, Stephanie Lee-Floyd, John Matthew Lee, Haley McKinley, and Bosten Gus; and thirteen great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and one daughter, Beverly Ann Shoemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Julie Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery, Kokomo.

Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
