Medford L. Pugh, 92, Wilmore, Kentucky, and formerly of Eatonton, Georgia, and Peru, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019, at Wesley Village in Wilmore, KY.
Born April 23, 1927, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Thomas R. and Chlora V. Fisher Pugh. On July 12, 1946, he was married to the former Norma Runkle, and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2015.
Mr. Pugh had resided at Wesley Village and was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church in Nicholasville, Kentucky, after moving from Eatonton, Georgia, where he was a member of the Lake Country Baptist Church. Prior to leaving Indiana in 2007, Med and Norma resided in Miami County, Indiana, where they were farmers and active members of the Mexico Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include daughters, Rebecca (James) Oswald of Wilmore, KY, and Barbara (Dennis) Tyner of Wilmore, KY; sons, Richard (Kathy) Pugh of Seneca, SC, Bradley Thomas Pugh of Las Vegas, NV and Eric Dewayne Pugh of Trinidad; nine grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, and six brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, August 9, 2019, at Wesley Village, Wilmore, Kentucky.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico, Indiana. Following the graveside service, a time of visitation with the family will be held at the Mexico Church of the Brethren until 3:00 p.m.
