Melvin Lee See, 81, Deedsville, passed away at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the St. Vincent Heart Center, Carmel, Indiana.
Born April 14, 1936, in Macy, Indiana, he was the son of the late Leo and Lucie M. Anderson See. On June 15, 1963, in Warsaw, Indiana, he was married to the former Carol Faye Dillman, and she survives.
He was a member of the Church of Christ at Grissom. He was a 1954 graduate of Deedsville High School and a veteran of the United States Army. After thirty-two years, he retired as a delivery and over-the-road driver for United Parcel Service.
Survivors include his wife, Carol See, Deedsville; children, Yvonne G. Moss and husband Brian; Shawnee Leigh Lane and husband Everett, Deedsville; grandsons, Austin Moss and wife Caitlin Moss, Peru; Braden Moss, Peru; and granddaughter, Bethanie Overton and husband Luke Overton, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Phillip Jeffrey See.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with George Faull and Terry Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Deedsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery with military rites provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
Visitation will be from 12:00 (noon) until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
