Michael “Mike” Bradley, 57, Peru, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, December 14, 2014 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Family and friends and the kind and caring staff members of Miller’s Merry Manor and Guardian Angel Hospice surrounded him throughout his last days.
Mike was a 1975 graduate of Peru High School. After graduating, he worked his way up from a stock boy to assistant manager of Five Star Foods of Peru. He had also worked for several years in the oil fiedls of Peru and Salyersville, Kentucky. Mike was a retired long distance truck driver, traveling all forty-eight contiguous states of America.
Mike had made his peace with the Lord. He loved to fish and hunt with his dad, family, and friends. He enjoyed watching all westerns, although his favorites were John Wayne movies. He was a follower of the Colts and Green Bay Packers football teams, along with being a proud Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Fans.
He was reluctant to leave his family and friends. Survivors include his parents, Lee and Mary Lou Reffitt Bradley, Denver; three children, Dalton, Aaron, and Jeremy, along with several grandchildren; one brother, Douglas Bradley and wife Debra, Syracuse; three sisters, Lisa Simpson and husband Ron, Kentucky; Connie Tyler, Peru; and Lugina “Gina” Benner and husband Joe, Peru; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy; one brother, Glenn Bradley; one brother-in-law, John Tyler, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at McClain Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Cruea officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made through the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
