Michael E. Gullett, 53, Peru went to be with the Lord at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, May 24, 2010 at his residence. H e was born October 26, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Arthur and Nancy Gullett. He was a veteran of the United States Army, completing basic training May 1, 1975 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was known to his friends as "Biggin" or "Junkin Mike." He loved all sports, especially the Colts; and really enjoyed fishing. Michael had a heart of gold and will be truly missed by all who loved him. Survivors include his mother Nancy Gullett, Peru; four children, Mike Gullett, Jr.; Holly Gullett; Angel Gullett; and Tony Gullett; one brother, Butch Gullett, and one sister, Vicki Meier; ten grandchildren, one great grandson; best friend and cousin, Bob Gregory. Preceding him in death were his father, Arthur and one daughter, Heidi. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at McClain Funeral Home with Chaplain Guy Provance officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver with military graveside rites by the Miami County Military Rites Unit. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. Thursday before the services.
