Michael Patrick Johnson

Michael Patrick Johnson, 41, of Indianapolis, Indiana, died Monday, March 6, 2023.

Michael was the third child of Roberta Joy (Krintz) Johnson and Richard William Johnson of Peru, Indiana, born on Christmas Day, 1981. He is survived by his parents, and two brothers: Benjamin Thomas Johnson and Christian Robert Johnson.

Michael graduated from Maconaquah High School, and held both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from Ball State University. He worked for SMC Corporation of North America in Noblesville, Indiana.

Dreams of hiking and camping in the western mountains (especially Yosemite NP) with a mutt rescue pup was a major pleasure. Throw in a college basketball game with a pot of homemade chili (NO beans!) to complete the picture. Early schoolteachers were instrumental in guiding Michael to a lifelong passion for reading.

A celebration gathering for friends will be held from 2-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Peru Civic Center (225 E. Riverside Dr., Peru, IN).

A private family funeral is being planned for later in the Spring when the flowers are in bloom and nature is waking up.
