Mickey Joe Taylor , 56, Denver, passed away at 2:47 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 24, 1952 in Peru, Indiana he was the son of Floyd Marvin and Marilyn Delores Stuber Taylor.
Survivors include a son, Benjamin Isaac Taylor and his mother, Patty Anderson, Bunker Hill; sister, Lisa A. Hardwick, Peru; sister Linda Pownall and husband Wayne, Peru; one niece, Taylor Hardwick, Peru; two nephews, Kerry Pownall, Wauseon, Ohio; and Ryan Pownall, Russiaville; his special companion, Janie Townsend, Denver; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death his parents.
He was a member of the Mexico Baptist Church. He was a farmer, truck driver, and had worked for Moss Fertilizer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Mexico Baptist Church, Mexico with Pastor Charles Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
Friends are invited to call from 4-8:00 p.m. on Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mickey Taylor Trust to benefit his son's education.
