Monica Jo (See) Howard, 85, Macy, Indiana, passed away Friday evening, June 9, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne

Born August 23,1937, near Deedsville, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Lucie M.(Anderson) See.  On August 10, 1967, she was married to Howard Leroy Hornbaker, and he preceded her in death on February 18, 1985.  Then, on September 21, 1996, in Macy, Indiana, at the Macy Christian Church, she was married to Bob J. Howard, and he survives.

She was a 1955 graduate of Deedsville High School and was a member of the Deedsville Community Church, where she was one of the church musicians for many years.  She loved baking, playing the organ (sometimes before the sun came up), and reading her Bible.  She had retired from Hart Schaffner Marx in Rochester, Indiana.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Howard, Macy; three children, Chris (Linda) Leedy, Macy; Jolene Musselman (companion, Dennis Layman), Hartford City; Howard “Champ” (Amanda) Hornbaker, rural Macy; five grandchildren, Michelle (Aaron) See, Macy; Aaron Leedy, Argos; Kinsie (Craig) Fisher, Columbus; Holly (Ben) Weller, Bloomington; and Jackson Ray, rural Macy; eight great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Ty Howard and Clint Howard, both of South Bend; and two step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Melvin L. See.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Pastor Bill Babb officiating.  Burial will follow in the Deedsville IOOF Cemetery, Deedsville.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Deedsville Community Church or the Deedsville IOOF Cemetery.
