Nell Jane Fouts

Nell Jane Fouts, 85, Peru, passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at her residence. Born on December 4, 1928 in Miami County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry "Dutch" and Martha L. Cover Howard. On October 31, 1946 at the home of the late Rev. C.F. Golden, near Denver, she was married to Donald Eugene Fouts, and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2011. Survivors include her five children, Howard E. Fouts and his wife Dorothy, Frankfort, Kentucky; Donna M. Leedy, Frankfort, Kentucky; Gina D. France and her husband Mike, Phoenix, Arizona; Christina J. Crowe and husband David, Brookston; and Vern K. Fouts, Peru; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Jon Howard, Wabash; two sisters, Joyce Mounts, Peru; and Joellen Sharp, Peru. She was preceded in death by one sister, ReJene Tatum. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver with Pastor Sam Polito officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson's Foundation.
