Nellie B. Webb

Nellie B. Webb, 95, a resident of Bend in the Woods, Logansport passed away Saturday morning at home.

She was born April 6, 1913 to Till and Anna (Preston) Carrier in Lincoln County, Kentucky. On October 6, 1932 in Kokomo, Indiana she was married to Howard Webb. Howard was a widower and she helped raise his 3 children, Waneta (Webb) Springer, Cleo Webb, and Robert Webb. Howard preceded her in death on July 10, 1971.

Also surviving are two daughters, Shirley Kelly and husband Bob, Denver; Saundra Mock and Husband Gary, Kokomo; two grandsons, Rob (Karen) Kelly, Bluffton; Patrick (Kesha) Kelly, Russiaville; three great-grandsons, Robert, Liam and Reece Kelly; one great-granddaughter, Megan Kelly; two step granddaughters, Roberta (George) Wiseman, Noblesville; Glenda Springer, Kokomo; one step grandson, Darrell (Joyce) Pennycoff, Sharpsville; and several step great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn; one granddaughter, Ladonia Mock; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Kelly; a stepdaughter, Waneta Springer; a stepson, Cleo Webb; one brother, Herman Carrier; and one half brother, Clayton Carrier.

She was a member of Maple Grove Community Church, Kokomo. She loved her church family and never had met a stranger. She had worked at several restaurants and babysat many children, all in the Kokomo area. She will be missed by her many friends and family members.

Gravesides services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Crown Point Cemetery, Kokomo with Pastor Dale T. Bliss and Pastor Andy Cisneros officiating.

Friends may call from 4-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Kelly House in care of Bluffton Church of the Nazarene to help Nellie's handicapped great-grandson, Robert.
