Born on the Carson Family Farm, she was the daughter of James Andrew and Marie K. Stowman Carson. On June 1, 1941, she married her high school sweetheart, Raymond E. Mrs. Musselman was first and foremost the supportive wife of Raymond in his political career as an Indiana State Representative, as organizer of the N. Miami Consolidated School District, and as a founder of the Miami Co. Soil and Water Conservation District. She served in many elections as an election judge. In her fifties, Nina became a licensed private airplane pilot. She took pride in her homemaking, cooking, and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Robert L. Musselman, and one grandson, Ryan L. Musselman. She is survived by her daughter, Janet; her brother, Donald Carson, Peru; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Mexico Church of the Brethren with Rev. Carroll Petry officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
