Norma Jean Fishburn, 84, Peru, passed away at 11:10 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Peru, Indiana.
Born February 11, 1934, near Shelburn, Indiana, she was the daughter of Norman and Freda Case Moore. On February 2, 1955, in Terre Haute, Indiana, she was married to Frederick Harmon Fishburn, and he preceded her in death on November 30, 2008.
She was a member of the Mexico First Brethren Church. She enjoyed gardening and working on her farm, taking care of her cows and pigs.
Survivors include one son, Floyd Fishburn and his wife Talitha, Denver; two grandchildren, Nathan Fishburn, Monterey Bay, California; and Michelle Gressley and husband Jeremy, Denver; two brothers, and two sisters, Philip “Butch” Moore, Dwayne Moore, Betty Lou Johnson, and JoAnn Bedwell, all of the Terre Haute, Indiana, area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters, Rose Fraley and Helen Skeleton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Dave Jodry officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. on Friday until the time of service at McClain Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Greenlawn Cemetery Association.
