Patricia Arlene (Chapman) Hipskind

One more soul gained Heaven, Patricia Arlene Hipskind, 78, Peru, Indiana, died peacefully on Monday May 29, 2017.

She was born on December 2, 1938, in Wabash, Indiana, to the late Edward and Vada (Lewis) Chapman. She is survived by her sister, Judy Tremblay, Long Sault, Ontario, Canada and a deceased sister, Geneva Hastings. Pat was married to Joseph Hipskind of Peru, Indiana for fifty nine years and together have six surviving children, Diana and husband Roger Craig, South Bend, Indiana, Andrew Hipskind, Plymouth, Indiana, Lisa and husband Steve Wilmotte, San Antonio, Texas, Sarah Hipskind, Peru, Indiana, Paula Shimba, South Bend, Indiana, David and wife Amber Hipskind, South Bend, Indiana, thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren.

Pat graduated valedictorian of her class at Roann High School and had received Care Giver of the Year award for the State of Indiana from the Assisted Living Federation of America. She fulfilled her desire for farm living, gardening and animal husbandry. Her greatest passions were caring for her family and touching lives local and abroad with the Love of Jesus Christ I Corinth 15. “We love you mom!”

Visitation will be on Friday June 2, 2017, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M and from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the First Assembly of God Church, 365 Monroe Avenue, Peru, Indiana. Services will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Friday June 2, 2017, at the church, with Pastor E. J. Litherland officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, Peru.
