Patricia Irene Powell, 62, Denver passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2009 at her residence.
Born September 1, 1947 in Rochester, Indiana she was the daughter of Russell Eldon and Helen Marie (McClaran) Ogle. On September 4, 1965 in Denver, she was married to Oliver B. Powell. He preceded in death on May 10, 2004.
She was a member of the Salvation Army, Peru.
Survivors include four children, Ruth Thorpe and husband Eric, Peru; Russell Powell and wife Daisy, Peru; Shelley Manley, Denver; and Scott Powell and wife Katina, Rochester, seven grandchildren, Kelli Powell, Peru; Austin Thorpe, Peru; Julian Powell, Texas; Travis Powell, Denver; Keean Powell, Rochester; and Kelton Powell, Rochester; five sisters, Doris Turnpaugh of Nyona Lake, Betty Miller of Rochester, Barbara (Ronald) Thompson of Rochester, Diana Mitchell of Aiken, South Carolina, and Shirley (Jim) Cook of Denver; and her brother, Thomas Ogle, of Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, Jereme Wayne Powell, and a sister Carolyn Kay Stuber.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2009 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver with Major Tim Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver.
Friends may call from 4-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
